About Me

Hi, I’m Albert—a UX designer turned coach, here to help career-fatigued tech professionals create a Second Act that’s as fulfilling as it is meaningful. If you’re feeling burned out, stuck, or unsure about what’s next, I get it. I’ve been there.

My Story: Navigating Change in a Fast-Paced Industry

My career journey has been anything but linear. I began working in tech during the boom and bust of the mid 90s and early 2000s. When the dot-com bubble burst, I found myself facing a series of layoffs that left me questioning everything. Burnout crept in, and doubts about my future hit hard. Sound familiar?

Rather than staying stuck, I took a step back to reassess what I had to offer. I dissected my experience and skills, identifying unique strengths that went beyond my UX role. I realized I wasn’t just a designer—I was also a strategist, communicator, and problem-solver. This mindset shift allowed me to diversify my opportunities, pivot into new roles, and even explore paths outside of tech.

Eventually, I found my way back to what I loved most: UX. I launched a freelance consultancy that grew into a thriving business, running it successfully for 10 years before stepping back into corporate roles. Through it all, I stayed agile, learned continuously, and leaned on the network I’d built to keep moving forward.

Why I’m Here to Help You

I’ve spent over 30 years navigating the unpredictable, ever-changing world of tech—always adapting, learning, and finding new ways to grow. I know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed by change and uncertain about what’s next. But I also know the joy that comes from uncovering new possibilities and creating a path that aligns with who you are now, not who you used to be.

As a UX leader, I’ve mentored countless designers and professionals, helping them uncover their strengths, reframe their challenges, and chart a course toward their goals. Now, as a coach, I bring the same empathy and strategic thinking to guide tech professionals like you toward your next chapter.
